So we're the House of Rare Textiles where we hope you will always

be able to find what you need!

HortLee's Habitat opened it's internet doors on November 1, 2000. We have worked with and had a love for fine textiles and linens for over 30 years and specialize in discontinued designer linens. We hope we have that one piece you can't seem to find or pieces to that collection that no longer exists.

Original plans were to name our store ... The Big Bottom Drawer Store, from a past memory of Grandma's bottom dresser drawer which was a favorite for our "treasures"... and just overflowed with so many fun things when we were kids, ... but we thought customers may come to the wrong conclusion as to what we sold ...(drawers for "big bottoms?") ... but we couldn't leave that name out completely! Thus we named several of our shops and entities within our shops after those many "special places" you'd find linens and things -- The Fabric Bureau and the Tapestry Trunk, The Inside Outhouse [things for the bath] and of course ... The Big Bottom Drawer Store where we have a lot of great deals and fun stuff coming. As we expand, more specialty shops will be added and we'll find more special places to house our things!
